Introduction
The preparation of this LTP2 gives an opportunity to develop a strategy that will underpin wider regional and sub-regional aspirations. The Metropolitan Area will be the focus of considerably more investment up to 2011 and beyond. This will mean significantly more people living and working in our Area, leading to more trips.
In order to ensure that our Strategy is robust, we have used a range of analytical tools and also taken into account the following:
- stakeholder consultation and local acceptability
- technical suitability
- value for money
- evidence based effectiveness
- affordability.
